Da Nang
Da Nang is Vietnam's third-largest city and one of its most livable, on the central coast midway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It combines a compact, walkable waterfront, direct international flight connections, and easy access to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites — Hoi An Ancient Town and the imperial city of Hue — within an hour's drive.
Da Nang International Airport (DAD) is Vietnam's third-busiest, with direct flights from major hubs across East and Southeast Asia as well as domestic connections from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and the city is consistently ranked among Vietnam's safest and most visitor-friendly destinations.

Cultural Trip: Hoi An Ancient Town
Hoi An Ancient Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site about 30 km south of Da Nang. Once a major Southeast Asian trading port from the 15th to 19th centuries, it preserves a remarkably intact townscape of merchant houses, assembly halls, and pagodas, blending Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and French influences. ICETAI 2027 includes a cultural visit here — itinerary details are still to be confirmed.
